无锁的门
The Lockless Door

It went many years,
But at last came a knock,
And I thought of the door
With no lock to lock.
I blew out the light,
I tip-toed the floor,
And raised both hands
In prayer to the door.
But the knock came again
My window was wide;
I climbed on the sill
And descended outside.
Back over the sill
I bade a "Come in"
To whoever the knock
At the door may have been.
So at a knock
I emptied my cage
To hide in the world
And alter with age.
很多年已经过去,
终于听到敲门的声响;
我想门上没有装锁,
所以大门并未锁上。
我吹熄灯火,
轻轻踮起脚跟;
我高举双手,
祈祷着走向大门。
可是敲门声又一次响起,
我见到洞开的窗扇,
就一脚跨过窗台,
爬落到了地面。
究竟谁在敲门,
我已不再关心;
把头伸回窗内,
喊了一声“请进。”
就因一次敲门,
我清空了自己的樊笼,
躲进外面世界,
让自己随着年龄变动。
