beijing to sheng-yang to shen-zhen... all in 1 day!

(2006-11-20 02:17:26)

i know i say this quite often, but the past couple days have really been tiring!

the beijing online chatroom taping and tv taping went ok, it was just unexpectedly HOT inside the studios... the online chatroom was already so warm to where we were all pretty uncomfortable, but then the tv taping was even hotter! it was to the point where even with the lights off, it was dizzyingly hot... then when they turned the studio lights on, i really felt a little bit light-headed and woozy from the lights and heat! i actually felt like i might get a sunburn or be tanned a shade or 2 darker from those lights and heat, haha! i’m wondering if this is the reason why i was a little bit sick last time, bc going from sweating indoors to chilling cold outdoors so suddenly must make it easy for you to get sick if you’re not used to it... i noticed i tend to get headaches from the heat... especially in the hotels, where there’s no way to turn off the central heating, i would be all stuffy and headachey for most of the time, and have problems sleeping bc it was too warm!

anyways, after that we were supposed to catch a flight to sheng-yang, so we had already checked-out in the morning, and packed up all our luggage to put on the car. we went to the beijing airport, and checked in, and were waiting nearby the gate, when we heard that the flight to sheng-yang was delayed due to foggy conditions. the previous flight to sheng-yang had already flown there but couldn’t land bc of the fog and had to fly back! so we waited and waited, and then found out our flight was cancelled. so we had to get our luggage off the plane and check-in at a motel provided by the airline... the tough part was that there was no elevator, so we were preparing to carry all our luggage up ourselves, but thankfully the airline ppl were quite nice and 2 big men offered to help us. by the time we were settled in, it was already pretty late, i remember it was definitely after midnight, (maybe close to 1am?) and the airline still couldn’t confirm when we would be able to fly, they said hopefully the early flight (around 7somethingAM) would be ok, but we would have to wait until the morning to find out.

this is where things got more tiring... the charity performance was scheduled to start at 1pm, which meant that we might possibly have to go straight from the airplane to the performance venue, depending of course on what time we would be able to fly. so in order to make it for the unconfirmed early flight, we would have to leave for the airport at around 5somethingAM to make it in time... so i got up at 430am to get ready, and then waited... and waited... and waited... haha. during this waiting period, the hotel staff called me and knocked on my door maybe 4 or 5 times to ask me the same things, if i was checking out yet, and if i needed housekeeping service, all of which i replied “no, thank you” to. one man scared me by attempting to open my door! i had fallen into a drowsy napping mode while waiting for the call about the flight, but as i am generally a light sleeper, i woke up right when i heard ppl outside the door. then i heard a soft knock, and before i could even reply, i heard the “beep” which signifies that someone is trying to use a key card to open the door! i jumped up and frantically said, “who is it? there’s someone in here!” and he asked me the same thing, if i was checking out yet! beijing to sheng-yang to shen-zhen... all in 1 day! another guy stood outside my door for a while, and bc i had already noticed the shadow under the door, i knew someone was standing there... so i tiptoed over to the peephole to see if it was maybe CPM, but it was a male hotel staff member... he was standing there, and this woman came up to him and said, “the ppl in there haven’t checked out yet...” and he even replied, “oh really?” and “are you sure?” and then he knocked on my door anyways... i said, “who is it?” and he actually ran away! like a little kid, running around, knicker-knocking or something! (knicker-knocking is a silly trick that kids play, knocking on doors and running away before the ppl come to answer the door) it was actually pretty funny, but of course at the time i was just tired and grumpy that “do not disturb” didn’t mean anything and of course from getting up at 430am and waiting so long while worrying if we would make it in time for the event!

it turns out that we waited until almost 11am for them to call us to say we could fly out. so things were really rushed, we were really worried about not being able to make it to the event, bc it was still scheduled to start at 1pm! so we had to go straight to the event right after we got off the plane, and directly to the stage to perform... and right after the performance, we had to go right back to the airport again to catch a flight to shen-zhen, where i am now!

well, it’s already late, and i am pretty tired... but before i sign off, i wanted to say thanks to everyone for your cheers and comments about 舞林大會 i really hope to be able to go on to the next level, but bc we are in the middle of promo period, i’m not sure if i will have the time! i guess the best i can hope for is that enough ppl will vote for me so that i can still partake in the semi-final or final rounds, even if we can’t make it to the next one! so if you want to see me go on in this competition, pls show your support! i really want to be able to go on, i’ve even been day-dreaming about what kind of dance i would like to learn next time or some silly ideas of my own! ok ok i’m going to go get ready for tomorrow... goodnight everyone! sweet dreams and have a happy day tomorrow! hope to see all you shen-zhen fans...!
