advance即使名词也是动词。

2. 动词：advance 推进，促进、进展

  我们写文章喜欢用的很多小土词都可以用advance 来代替。比如说improve , to make sth better . 你可以尝试实用advance ，就是使 ……进步的意思，相类似的单词还有 promote forward further 。

     比如：

  促进职业发展就可以用  further ur career

  提高某项技能也可以说  advance ur oral english

  巴以和谈促进了和平    advance the peace

     advance 有一种在以往的好的基础上进步的感觉，所以用起来非常的鼓舞人心。

就要高考了，前几天的模考，你的朋友虽然有些进步，但还是不如料想，你不妨对他说：

       Anyway，you are advancing, that is a good thing.  

       不管怎么说，你在进步，这就不错！

如果这个人连进步都没有，我们还有话说：

       Not to go back is somewhat to advance.

       不后退就是一种进步。

如果更加烂，你还可以假装微笑说：

       Not to go further back is somewhat to advance.

       不后退太多就是一种进步。
