Prayer Before Retiring at night

 

 The following paragraph is omitted on Shabbat and festivals.

 

Master of the universe! I hereby forgive anyone who has angered or vexed me, or sinned against me, either physically or financially, against my honor or anything else that is mine, whether accidentally or intentionally, inadvertently or deliberately, by speech or by deed, in this incarnation or in any other-any Israelite; may no man be punished on my account。 May it be you will, Lord my God and God of my father, that I shall sin no more, nor repeat my sins; neither shall I again anger you, nor do what is wrong in your eyes。 The sins that I have committed, erase in your abounding mercies, but not through suffering or sever illness。 May the words of mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before you, Lord, my strength and redeemer。

宇宙的主宰啊！我祈求袮：有人不管是用肉体还是金钱激怒过我，烦恼过我，得罪过我，我在此都原谅他。不管是出于偶然还是蓄意，无意还是故意，言语还是行为，不管是侵犯了我的荣誉或是利益，不管是这个人，还是其他任何以色列人……愿他都不因我的缘故被惩罚。

Our father, let us lie down in peace; our king, raise us up to a good life and peace。 Improve us with your good counsel, help us speedily for the sake of your name, and spread over us the shelter of your peace。(on Shabbat and festival, omit the rest of this paragraph。) protect us and remove from us the enemy, pestilence, sword, famine, and sorrow。 Remove the adversary from before us and from behind us, shelter us in the shadow of your wings, and guard our going our and our coming in for a good life and peace from now and for all time; for you,  benevolent God, are our guardian and our deliverer。 

 

我们的天父啊，求袮让我们平安入睡,让我们起来能过美好安宁的生活。用袮良善的箴言提升我们，求袮为袮名的缘故快快帮助我们，求袮用平安做盾牌环绕我们。（在安息日和节期， 本段下面的祈祷词省略）。求袮保护我们，让我们脱离仇敌，瘟疫，刀剑，饥荒和悲伤。

 

求袮除灭我们明处的和暗处的所有仇敌，求袮把我们遮掩在袮翅膀的荫下，求袮保守我们出入平安，生活美好，从今时直到永远。仁慈的主啊，袮是我们的保护神，是我们的救主。

Do not slur over the, but draw it out slightly for the length of time that it takes to affirm God’s sovereighty in the seven heavens and on earth-equal to eight, the numerical value of。 The (whose numerical value is four) should be drawn out for the length of time that it takes to reflect that God is alone in his world and that he rules in all four corners of the universe。 While reciting the shema, pause at the commas to convey the following meaning: hear o israel(pause), the Lord who is our God (pause) is the one God。

1）倒数第二个字母，希伯来原文音 是“嗨”， 它的数字值是“8”，代表上帝在七重天和在地上的统治权，加起来就是八重主权。 诵念时要轻声，但要拖长发音，不可含混。

2） 最后一个字母，希伯来原文音是“大”，数字值是“4”，要拉长音，以反映出上帝是在祂的宇宙中是独一的，祂独自治理宇宙的四面八方。

Our God and God of our fathers, may our prayers come before you, and do not turn away from our supplication, for we are not so impudent and obdurate as to declare before you, Lord our God and God of our fathers, that we are righteous and have not sinned. Indeed, we and our fathers have sinned.

 

我们和我们列祖的 神啊，愿我们的祈祷达到袮面前，不要转脸不顾我们的祈求。我们的确不敢厚颜无耻地在袮面前强辩：我们是义人，我们没有罪！因为我们和我们的列祖确实都犯了罪。

 

We have transgressed, we have acted perfidiously, we have robbed, we have slandered. We have acted perversely and wickedly, we have willfully sinned, we have done violence, we have imputed falsely. We have given evil counsel, we have lied, we have scoffed, we have rebelled, we have provoked, we have been disobedient, we have committed iniquity, we have wantonly transgressed, we have oppressed, we have been obstinate. We have committed evil, we have acted perniciously, we have acted abominably, we have gone astray, we have led others astray.

 

我们满有过犯，我们背信弃义，我们抢夺，我们诽谤。我们顽梗作恶，我们故意犯罪，我们亵渎，我们推脱错误。我们出邪恶的计谋，我们撒谎，我们嘲弄，我们背叛，我们挑起怒气，我们悖逆，我们作奸犯科，我们肆意违背，我们逼迫，我们倔犟。我们邪恶，我们屡教不改，我们行为恶劣，我们自己误入歧途，还令别人误入歧途。

 

We have strayed from your good precepts and ordinances, and it has not profited us. Indeed, you are just in all that has come upon us, for you have acted truthfully, and it is we who have acted wickedly.

我们偏离了袮的美好诫命和律例，得不到它们的益处。主啊，袮是信实的，袮加给我们的一切都是公义的，我们是作恶的。

 

What shall we say to you who dwells on high; what shall we relate to you who abides in the heaves? You surely know all the hidden and the revealed things.

 

我们该对住在至高之处的袮说什么呢？我们该怎样与住在至高之处的袮说话呢？唯有袮知道万有，知道所有隐藏的和显明的。

 

You know the mysteries of univers and the hidden secrets of every living being. You search all [our] innermost thoughts, and probe [our] mind and heart; nothing is hidden from you, nothing is concealed from youe sight. And so, may it be your will, Lord our God and God of our fathers, to have mercy on us and forgive us all our sins, grant us atonement for all our iniquitious, and forgive and pardon us for all our transgressions.

 

袮知道整个宇宙的奥秘，知道隐藏在每个活物中的秘密。袮查验[我们]内心深处的想法，验证[我们]的心思意念；在袮毫无隐瞒，都摆在袮面前。我们和我们列祖的  神啊，愿袮怜悯我们，赦免我们所有的罪孽，饶恕我们的一切过犯。
