  利利安发来短文并嘱咐：“请转给聪明女人和那些看了有承受力的男人”。

   In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their Family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and sober. 'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said as he surveyed the worried faces. 'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain Transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is theonly hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the Brain yourselves.' The family members sat silently as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, 'Well, how much does a brain cost?' The doctor quickly responded, 'Rs.500,000 for a male brain, and only Rs.200 for a Female brain.'

   The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile,avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked.A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, 'Why is the male brain so much more?' The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire Group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the Price of the female brains, because they've actually been used, the male brains are hardly ever used by the owners. So they are as good as new'.

   简单翻译一下：急诊室内伤员的家属都在焦急的等待，一医生出来告知家属：“非常遗憾，不过还有一线希望——如果大家考虑能给伤者换脑的话。医疗费用保险公司负责，换的脑所需费用要家属自己负担”。大家问：“什么价？”医生说：“男人的脑50万，女人的脑20万”。场面比较尴尬，家属中的男人想笑、但又避免和女家属眼神接触。终于有位控制不住好奇心的男家属问：“为什么男人的脑子比女人的贵？”医生看了一眼此人后说：“这是标准价格。我们不得不考虑女人的脑子要便宜点——因为女人的脑子几乎都是用过的；而男人的脑子都没被他本人用过——也就是说跟新的一样。”
