第八课    中元音[ə ]  外号：短鹅音

发音秘诀：

1.     这是个短元音，发音时要收小腹，短促有力。

2.   发音时，舌端离下齿、舌中部抬高，舌位中低。

3.   牙床半开，双唇略扁平而放松，是中元音中最放松的一个音。

4.   这个音位于词尾时发音略延长。

5.    它只出现在不含字母“r”的非重读音节中，要轻读，就像轻轻地说汉语中的“鹅”一样，或者像刚要叫出来，却被人掐住了脖子似的。

6.   发这个音时不用卷舌，很多人学美音以为美音都要卷舌，碰到这个音也卷舌，这是不对的，一琮末改变这个习惯。

7.    常发这个短元音的有：字母“a、e、i、o、u”和字母组合“ea、ou、ia、io”。

8.   有些单词在弱读时元音会弱化读作: / ə /，如“a”、“an”、“and”、“as”、“at”、“from”、“the”、“them”、“to”、“was”等，在句中说出来时常常读成这个音，且一带而过。

9.   有的美音书或美语字典上没有/ ʌ /音，全部标注为/ ə /音，这一点要注意。

10.              “au”或“ua”有时也可能发这个音。
