I am back in
New York City, again! Thanks to the direct flight just opened up
between Shanghai and NYC by China Eastern. Maybe I should buy
their stocks. Boy, NYC does smell familiar. JFK is still gigantic
as ever. I took the Airtrain for the first time. It was opened 3
years ago. It connected me with the subway system. I got off from
Jamaica Van Wyck station paid $7 including E-train to the city.
Connect again with #7 train – the immigrant’s express- at
Roosevelt Ave.
Called up the
hotel, Marriott Fairfield Inn in Flushing, they readily offered to
pick me up. NY is a bit colder
during the night….but I was armed to teeth. I even got a mask, a
cloth mask. So I was warm enough. Coming from Shanghai, New York’s
subway does looks very old and noisy. Basically, it is a steel
jungle. Steel everywhere making the city impersonal and cold. But
that’s New York. http://www.nycsubway.org/
