我请求上帝给我所有的物质，令我可以享受生活。上帝说，“不可，我会给你的生活，这样你可以享受物质。”
I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life...
God said, "Rather, I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things."
我请求上帝给我智慧......
上帝说，“不可，我会给你需要解決的问题，你籍此会变得更聪明。”
I asked God to give me wisdom…
God said, "Rather, I will give you problems to solve so you may become wise."
我请求上帝給我力量…
上帝说，“不可，我会给你的困难，困难会把你变得更坚強。”
I asked God to give me strength…
God said, "Rather, I will give you difficulties to make you strong."
我请求上帝給我勇气.....
上帝说，“不可，我会给你需要化解的危险。”
I asked God to give me courage…
God said, "Rather, I will give you danger to overcome."
我请求上帝給我的繁容......
上帝说，“不可，你自己的劳动成果就是你的奖励。”
I asked God to give me prosperity…
God said, "Rather, I will reward you with the fruits of your labor."

上帝说，“不可，你的痛苦是不能被我带走的，是你自己要去选择放弃它。”

上帝说:“不可，忍受痛苦可以教你摆脱人世间的牵挂,并且拉近你我的距离。
