Thanks for your feedback. I agree with what you said about Li Po. He can  entertain himself in solitude. Drinking wine is one way for him to isolate himself from the society both as a daoist and a person against social rigid rules. Similar reason for Japanese poet, too. There is Chinese saying: Drunk in wine can release a thousand of  sorrows. Many Asian poets and writers use wine as a way out.
