Class of 2012 Outperforms State, National Peers on SATs
HCPSS students' SAT scores again exceeded state and national averages. The Class of 2012 earned an average score of 1,632 on the SAT, 165 points higher than the state of Maryland (1,467) and 134 points higher than the national average (1,498). Approximately 81 percent of last year's HCPSS graduating class took the SAT, compared to just 70 percent statewide and 52 percent nationally.
