思路:第6单元的核心内容是“谈论个性特征,性格特点;对人们进行比较”,主要围绕着生活中学生周围的人,用比较级在小组内进行教学。主题思维图及任务型活动:

第一课时(SectionA)
Step1. Greetings
Step2. Revision
1、Talk about these questions:
Do you have a good friend?
What does he/she look like?
What is he/she like?
2、Ask the students to list the words about personal traits.
Step3 Talk about some students or some things and present the new words and languages.
1、Present the new words:
calm and wild; Then do Exercise 1a
2、Activity: In your eyes?
Ask the students to work in pairs.
Ask them to describe their partner’ personal traits. Read it to each other.
What am I like in your eyes?
3、Compare two students:
Ask two students how old they .are.
Say: Mary is thirteen now. Bob is fourteen now.
Bob is older than Mary. (Repeat)[板书]
But I think she is calmer than Bob. (Repeat) [板书]
3、Compare two books in different prices.
Say: The Chinese book is expensive. (Repeat) [板书]
The English book is more expensive than the Chinese one. (Repeat) [板书]

2. Play the recording. Ss listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture.
3. Check the answer. (Then listen again when need.)
