设计理念:通过学习本单元的内容,掌握表示天气情况的词语,使学生学会描述不同的天气状况,表达自己的情感。并且了解英语文化背景下天气话题的内涵。本单元主要谈论天气,可以结合地理方位,国家名称来扩大学生的知识范围。充分利用多媒体和真实场景的设计,使学生切实理解现在进行时的用法。

 

 

学习目标:

认知目标

目标语言

 

1.How is the weather?

It’s raining (rainy)/windy/ cloudy/sunny/ snowing (snowy)/ cold/hot/wet/dry.

教学准备:

1.    准备有关天气和表现“现在进行时”的图片和视频资料。

2.    制作课堂教学所需要的课件。

3.    设计、准备每一项调查所需要的语言项目。

4.制作课堂任务表格或者设计任务型教学方案,在课前准备或上课时供师生使用

Write a report about different weather and about how you like it.

When it is raining, the world is very clear and the air is nice. I like rain very much. When it is raining, I love to stay at home and sleep.

任务设计三:What am I doing?

要求记录自己一周中每一天的三个具体时刻自己正在做什么,到周末的时候做一下汇总,谈谈自己这一周的收获和体会。写出英文报告。

教学准备:  1. Four cards with faces,

2. a piece of exercise paper

教学时间:1 period

教学过程:

Step 1: 四人小组活动:

各自来自不同的国家,住在不同的城市,彼此询问天气情况。在组织此活动之前老师可以用幻灯片出示不同国家城市以及天气的图片带领学生做一个简短的复习,也为学生的对话做好提示。

所需用到的句型结构:

Where are you from? / Where do you come from?

Where do you live?

How’s the weather there? / What’s the weather like there?

Step2: Learning 3a on Page15.

Firstly: The teacher takes out the four cards with four different kinds of faces to make the students know what do they stand for, then ask students to finish the match exercise in 3a.

Secondly: learning the new drill: How’s it going? Great./ Terrible…… 教是可以把自己手中的四张图片发给四名学生由学生帮助完成新对话的教授。

Lastly: Pair work: Ask students draw a face they like, then work in pairs, ask and answer using the new drill.

Step3: Finish Exercise1 in the paper like this:

1.      Write down the words under the faces and write out the dialogue that connected: face word Dialogue:

Step4:Group work: 3b on page15.

借助于第一步中的对话情景,已是好朋友,彼此想念,打电话给对方。。。。。。。

During the summer when it is very hot, the water evaporates very fast. When the water meets cold air high up in the sky, it becomes many drops of water and then clouds. They move fast. 六.教学过程:

1.复习词汇.

方法:1). 用多媒体出示一组天气状况的图案,让学生去猜它们分别代表着哪种天气状况。要求说出并写出这些单词,并用至少一句话来描述这种天气状况。

2). 引导学生观察所写的一系列形容词,总结名词变形容词这一构词法,并引导学生去观察和思考名词和形容词在句中不同的作用,并能举例说明。

2.复习句型和语法。

     1). 任务设计:

要求学生拿出自己带来的照片(最好是在室外拍摄的),然后以小组为单位询问和调查照片上的天气情况和当时照片上的人正在干什么,并记下来,最后写成一篇调查报告。

2).汇报结果:

找一名代表到前面读自己的调查报告。读完后老师可以随机提问几个问题让其他同学来回答以检测他们听的情况。

3).调查需要用到的基本句型:

a.-How is the weather? ( What’s the weather like? )

-It’s raining( sunny, cloudy, windy…).

        b. -What are you ( they ) doing when it’s raining?

          -We (They ) are playing football.

        c. – How is it going?

         - Not bad.

3. 巩固性练习。

   口笔头完成Self check 的第三部分。

1). Look at the pictures and ask the weather and what they are doing.

2). Fill in the blanks.

3). Write a survey report.

4. 布置作业:

   回家通过查阅资料了解南半球国家澳大利亚的天气状况,并比较与我国天气的不同,写出一篇调查报告。
