在荧幕风采中我们已经领略了不少总经理的另一面，此次，《大酒店》将浦东香格里拉大酒店 “品味北京”庆典活动开幕仪式 “共享缤纷美肴，共贺北京盛事”推上了电视荧屏——《城市节拍》(City Beat)栏目，向世人展示酒店的独特魅力。《城市节拍》是ICS的一档国内开播最早的生活时尚类英语杂志型节目，她见证了一次又一次上海国际化大都市的艺术文化领域海纳百川的气势和中西文化交融的盛况，节目提倡感受文化百味，将酒店文化传播到城市的每个角落一直是《大酒店》的办刊宗旨，让每个人都可以感受到酒店的深刻内涵也是我们的心愿。
Through Grand Hotel’s
arrangements, many general managers of luxury hotels in Shanghai
have appeared on the International Channel Shanghai (ICS), showing
their personal side to the viewers. ICS’s City Beat has lately
reported on the two-week “Road to Beijing” Festival by the
prestigious Pudong Shangri-La Shanghai, focusing on its launch
ceremony entitled “Join Us as We Celebrate Beijing”.
As one of China’s earliest
English-speaking TV magazine programs, City Beat is your source of
fashion news, culture reports and life stories in the metropolitan
Shanghai, a city willing to embrace all kinds of cultures and
influences. Its aim of “tasting culture” is consistent with that
of Grand Hotels, which has been dedicated to promoting hotel
culture, and to spreading its influence to every part of the city.
It is one of our aspirations that everybody can feel the profundity
of hotel culture.
The celebration in Pudong
Shangri-La Shanghai includes an authentic selection of dishes
prepared by a guest chef from Beijing, with the Art of traditional
Chinese Tea, and a display of fine works of art by skilled
artisans. During the two-week celebration, a set of 12 Beijing
Olympics themed-paintings by students from the Pudong Special
Education School will be showcased for sale, proceeds from which
will go to the school. Buyers will be presented with gift
certificates from Pudong Shangri-La Shanghai in appreciation of
their contribution. Hotel general manager, Mr. John Rice, said
during an interview by ICS reporter, “We arrange the sale for a
simple reason, that is, to help the kids with the proceeds. It’s
very meaningful.”
As an indispensable part of
hotel culture, love and care is in the blood of the entire city,
warming the heart of everyone. “Join Us as We Celebrate Beijing”
will inaugurate the TV coverage of a glamorous hotel
lifestyle.
“City Beat” will be shown on
ICS at: Every Friday, 21:30 p.m.-22:00
p.m.
