The 2007 Shanghai Oktoberfest is just around the corner and this year's party is going to be BIGGER and BETTER than ever! The beer tent will be rocking for eleven days this September (19^th – 29^th), as Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel, bring you the magic of Oktoberfest!

The only official Oktoberfest endorsed by the Shanghai Tourism Festival will feature world-renowned Weihenstephan beer from the world's oldest brewery in Bavaria. Associates of the hotel have worked so hard every year to bring the best and most enjoyable Oktoberfest experience to all the guests. Even though it is the 10th year, they are getting more and more progress and every time there is something new. And of course this year’s 10^th anniversary celebration will be no exception. To further commemorate their upcoming anniversary, they’ve asked a local member of our community and beer enthusiast, Miss Zhu Shanyi to take part. As the recently-crowned ‘Miss Shanghai Oktoberfest 2007’, she’s just as excited as all the guests to kick off the big celebration this September!

General Manager, Mr. Rauf Malik expresses his enthusiasm about this year’s upcoming 10^th anniversary celebration: “Over the past nine years, the Shanghai Beer Festival has become a regular part of both the locals’ and expatriates’ lives here. It’s been exciting to watch it become stronger and stronger with each and every year. This year, being our very special tenth anniversary, will of course be an extra special occasion as we commemorate our first ‘decade’ bringing German culture and beer to the Shanghai masses.We at the Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel, in collaboration with the Shanghai Tourism Festival, have strived to bring a bigger and better festival to Shanghai’s citizens for over a decade and we’re only getting better!”

享誉上海的扬子江万丽大酒店啤酒节不但成为了上海旅游节的精彩活动之一，并连续十年在金秋时节将浓郁的巴伐利亚节氛围带到上海。在总经理马立祺先生的带领下，扬子江万丽的员工团队每年都尽心尽职，力求将最好的啤酒节体验带给宾客。尽管啤酒节举办至今已经是第十届了，但是每一次扬子江万丽都能推陈出新，今年自然也不会例外。为了更好地推动即将到来的10周年庆典，酒店推选出了2007上海德国啤酒节形象代言人祝珊漪小姐，她和所有宾客一样兴奋地期待为期11天（2007年9月19日至29日，晚上6:30 分至深夜11.00点）充满活力的盛典。

对于此次的节日，马立祺先生寄予了厚望：“过去的9年使得上海德国啤酒节成了在沪中外宾客交流的平台，很高兴看到这个活动一年比一年成功。值此第一个里程碑之际，上海扬子江万丽大酒店依托上海旅游节，相信我们会继续为广大上海市民带来更多德国风情和啤酒。”
