Shanghai JC Mandarin Hotel has unveiled an expanded Fitness Center and an European Wellness Spa, the latter being the first of its kind in China. I had this opportunity to visit both places, which cover a total of 3000 square meters, and came back with first hand knowledge of “a brand new experience, a new level of service”.
The new Fitness Center features a spacious double-story gym, which is equipped with the state-of-the-art exercise machines, an aerobic, dance and gymnastics room, a 20m heated indoor swimming pool and 2 open air tennis courts.  Spacious steam rooms and saunas for both female and male guests and soothing rain showers are just some of the features sparkling in the elegantly appointed changing rooms. 
Inside, the atmosphere is so active and vigorous that tension and weariness is nowhere to hide. Accredited trainers would work out scientific program tailored to individual use, and the ultimate goal is a fit and well-proportioned body. Both sauna and massage are helpful to eliminate fatigue and alleviate tension. The heated swimming pool is stylishly housed in a glass structure, so devoid of obstruction to the strikingly beautiful city views outside.
