    在上海锦江汤臣洲际大酒店四楼，有这么一个静谧的场所，置身期间，与外界的喧嚣完全隔绝，这便是洲际水疗馆。洲际水疗馆今年一月刚刚开张迎客，在这个600平方米的空间，顾客可以享受到一系列理疗，让身心得到充分舒展，回复旺盛的精力。像我这样整日耗在办公室里的白领，难免脖颈僵硬，肩膀疼痛，因此洲际水疗馆的诱惑力尤其巨大。
    踏出电梯，展现在眼前的是一条长廊，顺势前进，不过两三个弯过后，便置身于一片恬静的禅意天地。水疗馆建议我提前10分钟抵达，不过我到的时候，距离预约的时间还有半个小时。两位穿着端庄的接待小姐热情相迎，并要求我填写一份表格，询问我是否过敏，以及其他一些健康相关的问题。接待室很宽敞，我注意到水疗馆专用的“茱丽”产品被放置在十分显著的地方。“茱丽”全部自澳大利亚进口，所有的芳香护理和面部护理都会用到它，不光如此，这些产品还可以零售。水疗馆提供的传统中式护理以及去角质和裹体护理则使用优质的本地产品。
    预约的理疗师叫Mary。她带着我走过长长的过道，忽而左转，忽而右拐，加之地面、墙壁和天花板皆以实木板铺就，吸音效果显著，熟悉情况的Mary可能没觉得什么，我这个外来人却大有曲径通幽、深不可测之感。经过一小段“跋涉”，越过休息区、足部反射按摩区、独立单人护理室和豪华双人护理室，我们终于来到了目的地――贵宾护理室，我将在这里享用今天的大餐：洲际水疗馆亚洲活力再生特选(2.5小时，1250元)……

The I-Spa at InterContinental Pudong Hotel is a tranquil sanctuary from the urban hustling. The 600-square-meter space, whose curtain went up in January of 2006, proffers a wide range of body and facial treatments effective to help you relax and revitalize. It beckons urbanites like me, who are stuck in an office all day and suffering from stiff neck and shoulder aches.
Stepping outside the lift which brought me to the 4th floor, I found myself faced with a winding passageway that opens to a world of Zen-like serenity. Nearly a half hour ahead of the reservation (10 minutes recommended by the spa), I was warmly greeted by two elegantly clad reception girls who requested me to fill out a form with problems concerning my general health condition, “if your skin is allergic to certain elements?” and the likes.
The capacious reception/waiting area includes a conspicuous display of all-natural spa products from JURLIQUE, which are imported from Australia, for aromatherapy treatments, facials and body treatments. My therapist, Mary, turned up just in time to show me around, and from her I learned that these JURLIQUE-branded products, available in a full range, are also for sale upon request. Aside from the imports, quality products are sourced locally for traditional Chinese treatments and I-Spa Signature treatments.
We, Mary and I, strolled along another zigzag corridor which seems to lead us to nowhere. (Or just me, coz Mary must be quite familiar with the layout.) The floor is wooden, and the other three sides are also covered with wooden boards to absorb the sound. We passed a string of spa facilities, the pre-and-post treatment relaxation lounge, 12 foot reflexology stations, 6 single treatment rooms and 2 treatment rooms for couples before eventually reaching the very door of the VIP room, where I was expected to receive the main treat of the day, the Signature Asian Rejuvenation (2 hours and 30 min, Rmb1250)……
