Finally, I received one of the books ordered online, <Lonely Planet>[China].

 

Before opening the book, I confirmed the payment in Toabao right away as I was just online at that moment, which was proved stupid when JS came over to change lock for me. He browsed through the book and told me that it's a counterfeit,very obviously!! I almost bumped my head onto the wall. This is my first transaction in Taobao. It is so frustrating!

 

I called the Shanghai seller to complain. He refused to acknowledge the fact of counterfeit until I pointed out some evidence to him, such as the picture on the cover was cut a bit more than the original edition, the letters and maps inside are very blurry...Then he said he didn't know it!

 

Anyway, he proposed 2 optional solutions at last, either to check the cost and just charge me on it, or cancel the deal by returning the money in whatever way. Otherwise, I will put a very bad comment in Taobao about this seller, which will discount his credibility. He should have known what is more important from long-run. The guy promised to call me before noon tomorrow. Hope he can stick to his commitment.

I hate to have a fake LP on hand, but if the cost price quoted is fair, I don't mind keeping the book as a "souvenir".

 

My Goodness, what a fake world! I was wondering what Chinese are NOT able to copy Maybe the "what" doesn't exist.
