A guy from Beijing

(2007-02-08 22:33:59)

I was in the middle of my work when I got this SMS. It was Ronald; a guy from Beijing who’s studying at college in Malaysia. He said in his message that he saw my blog in the middle of browsing on the net. Can you believe that? In a sea of blogs all around the frigging world, he spotted my “little house” and he got a hold of me. It’s absolutely unbelievable. It’s god’s work!  Indeed. I called  him right away on his cell. He wanted to learn a little some some of English from me. But it’s too late and too bad. I’m already out of business. He’s now living in Subang . It’d take him about an hour if he came to my tuft, you know? Plus, with traffic jam, it could be hours. So don’t.   I told him. He also filled me in on some of the situations of English learning in China. Especially in Beijing : “Ter huor” . That means “ Specially passionate”. There’re about three hundred million people learning English like crazy in the whole of China, right? I mean “like crazy” with capitals “LC”. We both know Li Yang, you know? The crazy teacher who kicks up a storm of  learning English “like crazy” in China. Well, there is nothing much I can help you for the time being, Ronald. Let’s keep in touch and fight the good fight. Cheerio, pal. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
