因为有博友问惠氏奶粉是否安全的问题， 我就去查了一下， 因为在我印象里Wyeth在美国好像是没有生产奶粉，也可能是用其他的名字？ 总之觉得这个问题可能很多国内的朋友都关心， 所以我贴出来一下 。从新闻上看 ，这个应该是个没有确认的问题， Wyeth的发言人称在它们的奶粉里根本就没有发现任何melamine，而且中国卫生部也没有指控他们。 在中国生产奶粉的牛奶都从澳大利亚， 新西兰， 欧洲等地进口，不是用本地牛奶。英文的报道在下面。

它说目前没有发现Wyeth的奶粉有melamine，现在虽然有19个家庭报道了有肾结石的问题，但是在没有结论之前就下定论还是太早。甚至有人认为这些指控也可能是有些公司为了增加竞争力而将矛头转向外国公司。

Wyeth在美国是个非常庞大的公司， 那些很出名的维他命产品都是它家的产品， 我经常服用。 对它家的东西我还是非常信任的。希望这位妈妈放心吧， 你的宝宝肯定没有问题的。

Wyeth: Its infant formula not to blame in China

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Drugmaker Wyeth, a top player in China's infant formula market, is dismissing claims its products are to blame in the latest round of reports there linking nutrition products to kidney stones in infants.

Wyeth said Tuesday its products — infant formula and milk powder — have repeatedly been tested and found safe by governments of China and five other countries in the region, as well as by an independent lab hired by Wyeth, of Madison, N.J.

A report by the China Daily newspaper said about 20 families have complained their youngsters developed kidney stones after drinking milk powder produced by Wyeth.

"We're aware of these reports," which appear to have originated with blog posts by a concerned parent whose child had taken ill, Wyeth spokeswoman Natalie deVane said.

Many Chinese parents of young children have been on edge since the start last September of a tainted milk scandal linked to the deaths of at least six Chinese babies and illnesses in nearly 300,000 others.

The children developed kidney stones after drinking formula made from milk contaminated with melamine, a chemical used to make plastics and fertilizer. The scandal involved China's biggest dairies.

Now some foreign makers of infant milk are being drawn into the scandal. Last week, as Chinese health officials were probing another surge in kidney stone cases in babies, Chinese parents were blaming formula made by Dumex Baby Food Co. Ltd., part of Danone SA, the French bottled water and yogurt seller.

DeVane said raw milk used in Wyeth's products comes from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Latin America — not from China. She said Wyeth's products remain on sale and continue to be tested.

"Not a single positive result for melamine has been found," she said, and Chinese health authorities have not filed any complaints with Wyeth.

"The safety of our products is one of our top priorities," she added.

Meanwhile, Credit Suisse analyst Catherine Arnold wrote in a note to investors that sales in China are one of the primary drivers for Wyeth's infant nutritionals business, with about $400 million out of the $1.7 billion in global sales coming from China.

"While it is likely that there may be a modest impact on near-term sales, we do not anticipate a greater impact at this time," Arnold wrote.
