魏永军画家自幼叛逆，对事对物好寻根求源；且喜读文史及哲学典籍，受中国传统文化影响很深；相比于其他同龄的年轻艺术家而言，魏勇军更显示其持重与儒雅。     

      他长期关注自然对于生命个体心灵的体验与记忆，善于撇开貌似纷扰的事物或自然的表象，直达其内在本质；对于表现对象，不是死板的描摹或刻意的重复，而是经过其内心的反复洗练以后的高度浓缩与概括。技法方面，他能熟练把握材料特性，摸索出了一套独特的用笔用色技巧，并养成其良好的创作习惯。        

        其作品构思奇巧简洁，色调淡雅清新，画面唯美脱俗，内涵深刻悠远。作品表达了画家对生命、自然的关注与热爱，对祥和、宁静的憧憬与向往；强烈地折射出画家对现实的无奈与隐忧，对美好未来的祝福与期待。（摘编自意色里画廊提供的资料）
