每个人都珍藏着突然长大告别少年的瞬间。这个不到100字的小小说，记录了我们初中同学第一次离开长春到大连旅游，我的那个瞬间。那天我写的作文“鹅卵石”发表在“作文通讯”，是我第一次在全国期刊发表文章。

I stared at a smooth, yet undulated cobblestone on the beach, ignoring the ridicule from football peers. Eroded by waves, it caught my curiosity.

“Chickening out? Play ball! ” The captain flung the cobblestone away.

Furious, I dribbled the ball, bearing down to him. His nose bled as the ball splashed the face. Everybody stopped and gaped.

I turned, and ran home, feeling rude and lonely for the first time ever.

Late night, the stars awoke to a quiet beach, where I picked up the cobblestone and stared down, meditating upon and saying goodbye to my boyhood.
