Today is Mother's Day. Anyway I have never had Mother's Day in China. I didn't greet my mother either. Since I came here, my husband always mentions me Mother's Day. First year in USA, I gave my mother a card with some money, then I just called my mother to say hello on this day. 

今天是母亲节，在中国我从来没有过过母亲节，也没有问候过我的母亲，自从我来到美国，老公总是提醒我母亲节。 第一年在美国的母亲节，我给母亲送了卡片和一些钱，后来就是打电话问候母亲了。

My daughter first time asked me what I wanted to have on Mother's Day. I said I wasn't sure. Yesterday, my husband asked Anna what she was going to send to me. Anna said she asked me, but I told her I didn't know. My husband said:"That means your mother doesn't want you to buy anything for her. But you should think of it. She is your mother." 

我女儿第一次问我母亲节我想要什么，我告诉她我不知道。昨天老公问安娜她准备给我买什么礼物。安娜说她问我了，可我说不知道。老公说：“那是因为你妈妈不想你给她买任何东西，可你应该想一想，她可是你妈妈。”

My daughter went to shop with us to buy one pot of  orchid for me,and my husband bought some fresh flowers for me, too. I was happy to get gift from my daughter. I remembered last year she got some present for me on christmas day. She is a nice daughter. All this, her dad teaches her to respect mom and remember mom. My husband bought me a pink stone ring and necklace for Mother's Day.,He gave me wonderful time for Mother's Day.

女儿和我们一起去商店，她买了一盆兰花给我，老公买了一些鲜花给我，我很喜欢女儿买的礼物，去年圣诞节，女儿也给我买了礼物，她是一个好女儿。这些都是老公教的，教她尊重和记得妈妈。老公给我买了粉红色的宝石戒指和项链作为母亲节的礼物，他给了我一个快乐的母亲节。

Today I drove to Long Island to have dinner together with my father in law. On the way, so many cars running, many people went back home to say thanks to their mothers and have dinner together with mothers. In USA, people always show their love of parents on Mother's  and Father's Day. We saw a motorcycle accident, the police cars drove by us so fast, when we passed by , we saw the motorcycle lying beside the road, and a car parking aside.We didn't see the motorcylist, he must be sent to hospital I'm sure the motorcyclist must get very bad hurt once this kind accident happens. Later we saw the big sign on high way telliing people to share the way with motorcycle.

今天我开车去长岛去和爸爸一起吃晚饭。在路上，很多车运行着，看来很多人都开车回家去问候母亲，和母亲一起共进晚餐。在美国，人们总是在父母节日这天表示他们对父母的爱。路上我们看到了一起摩托车事故，警车从我们旁边飞驶过去，当我经过事故地点的时候，我们看到一辆摩托车躺在路边，一辆小车停在路边，没有看到受伤的摩托车主，他一定被送到医院去了。一旦这种小车和摩托车相撞事故发生，摩托车主一定受伤很重。后来在高速路上的大标志牌上写着和摩托车共享道路.

On the high way, I was driving my car, my husband was calling his brother. At that moment, I changed my lane because the car in front of me drove so slowly. When I was changing my lane after a car on my left passing by, my car was just at the edge of the lane, wa........another car behind  was driving up, when I turned my head, I saw that, I turned my car direction back to my lane at once. My god...my car almost crashed into that car!!!!!My husband saw that, he was talkin on phone:" How are you, Bill...shit!!!Lan is driving car!!!!!!!!........" He turned off the cell phone, and joked:" My god, I think I should change my underware now.  ha...ha ...ha ..." He got scared, me too. That is how the accident happens. Just one second, for some stupid actions, accident happens. The guy in the car beside the driver that I almost crashed into sticked his head out to look back. I'm sure they were talking like this:" My god, Idiot!!!" Then they must say:" wa...Chinese, I see why now." American people think Chinese have no drive gene. That's true, in China, how many people drive when they are teenagers?  Here most people learn to drive since they are teenagers. Driving just needs practice, then you get skill and experience. It's not strange, anyway, it's lucky for me to react so fast, and I didn't make my change before I made sure 100%, and I always changed lane slowly and smoothly, that's why I have time to react and back to my lane so fast. It's a lesson, when you are changing lane in high speed way, you must keep looking and watching until you make sure really no problem, then you make change, or accident happens easily. 

在高速路上，我正开着车，老公正在给哥哥电话，我前面的车开得很慢，我想换道，当我左面的车刚好经过，我正换道的时刻，我的车刚好在换道的边上，哇。。。。。。在后面的另外一辆车开了上来，我的老天，我的车几乎和那辆车相撞。当我转过头的时候，我看到了那车，我把我的车立刻转回到我原来的道上。老公看见了，他正在电话里说：“你好，比尔，妈的，兰在开车。。。。”他连忙关掉手机，开玩笑说：“我想我现在应该换内裤了。哈哈哈。。。。。。。”我和他都被吓了一跳。这就是事故怎么发生的，只要一秒钟，因某种愚蠢的行为，事故就发生了。坐在几乎和我相撞的那辆车司机旁边的小伙子伸出头来往后看，我敢肯定他们会这样说：“天呀，白痴！！！”他们一定会说：“，哇。。。中国人，我知道为什么了。”美国人认为中国人没有开车的基因。当然，中国人有多少人在十多岁的时候就开车呢？美国很多人在十几岁的时候就开始学开车了。开车需要的是练习，然后就得到了技巧和经验。这不奇怪，不管怎么样，幸运的是我反应快，在我没有百分百确定之前，我没有换道，我总是缓慢的顺畅的换道，这就是为什么我有时间反应，并回到我自己的道上。这是一个教训，当你在高速路上要换道的时候，你一定要保持观看，确定没有问题后才换道，否则事故很容易发生。

We met our dad, and chatted with him for a while,my husband told him my  scary lane change, and his talking with Bill that moment.Dad in law laughed. Then dad called his friend. We went to brother's restaurant to have dinner together. Everybody saw me, saying"happy Mother's Day" . Brother was very busy, he carried my baby to his big kichen to watch guys cooking. My husband said:"Let baby learns to cook Italian food, so she will become Chitalian cook."(means cooking Chinese and Italian food.My husband created this word'chitalian')

我们见到了爸爸，和他聊了一会儿，老公讲了我那可怕的换道，和那时刻他在电话里和比尔的谈话，爸爸笑了。然后爸爸打电话给他朋友，我们一起到哥哥餐馆去吃晚饭。每个人见到我都问候“母亲节快乐”。哥哥特别忙，他把宝宝抱到他的大厨房去看伙计们做饭。 老公说：“让宝宝学做意大利饭菜，以后她会做中意饭菜。”（意思是做中国菜和意大利菜，Chitalian是老公自己创造的一个词汇。）

Baby loves her grandpa, once we didn't allow her to do something, she must go for grandpa for permission and help. I made joke:" Baby found where to show her weakness, where to get mercy and help now." We enjoyed dinner happily in brother's restaurant. Then we left for home at about 4:30pm. Before we reached home, we went to the shop near us to get some milk and eggs for baby. I saw so many flowers yesterday, now all gone. People like to buy flowers for mothers as much as they buy floweres for lovers on Valentine's Day.

宝宝喜爱她爷爷，一旦我们不允许她做什么事的时候，她就去向爷爷求助。我开玩笑说：“宝宝现在知道那里去显示她的柔弱，哪里去得到同情和帮助了。”我们在哥哥的餐馆里一起快乐享受晚餐，大约下午四点半离开回家，在我们到家之前，在附近的商店里去买牛奶和鸡蛋，我昨天还看到店里那么多的鲜花，今天全没了。 人们在母亲节喜欢购买鲜花，和他们在情人节给情人购买鲜花一样。

 I had a happy  and dengerous Mother's Day.

我过了一个快乐而惊险的母亲节！！！！
