To teach our children we should not rely on simple lecturing. 

What is even worse is that we focus on children’s shortcomings and criticize them over and over again. 

This can only bring the opposite effect.

The right way is to find out our children’s merits and praise them, 

and tolerate their shortcomings, 

as the land embraces a seed without any requirements. 

We should try to look at the positive side and guide our children accordingly, 

and help them correct their demerits in skillful ways.
