我们的慢心不能降伏，
我相不能破斥，
就是因为我们内在当中对佛法的理解的那种执著去不掉，
所以必须靠外在更强的力量，
才有办法把我们内心当中的我执、法执去掉。

The reason why we cannot do away with our self-pride

and get rid of the thought of I
 is that we grasp our own understanding of the Dharma firmly.
We must rely on stronger external force to remove the attacument to self and Dharma in our mind.
