以前，我知道后海，也知道鲨鱼，但一定不知道“后海大鲨鱼”。现在,注定不会忘记，两个名词组合背后所代表的音乐。

音乐，原来也可以这样简单地开始；摇滚，原来也可以这般时尚地“复古”。

这样的夏夜，听着这样的音乐，心情就这样地荡在了月亮之上。

[背景]

后海大鲨鱼乐队（Queensea Big Shark）成立于2004年底，那时，北京女孩傅菡经常出入于北京的各色演出场地看演出，她最喜欢的乐队是joyside、pk14和新裤子。在一次看完pk14的演出后她给好友曹璞打电话说“咱们组个乐队吧，我唱歌你弹吉他”，电话一端那个消瘦、时尚、热爱金属音乐的建筑系研究生立刻答应了。随后二人又找来了好朋友王静涵和小武，乐队正式成立。在排出5首成型的作品时，已经是2005年的5月，他们的第一场演出就是和joyside一起，当时在场的所有人都被他们紧张俏皮的dance rock（舞曲摇滚）风格吸引，而他们则称自己是garage dance(车库舞曲)，随后的密集演出使乐队越来越受关注。

很多国外媒体在谈论起近两年中国摇滚乐时，都用到了“爆炸”的字眼，在他们眼里，从06年开始，中国涌现了太多风格流派的优秀的摇滚乐队，这里提到最多的名字，就是后海大鲨鱼。后海大鲨鱼似乎更具备了某些值得被媒体视为是“噱头”的特质：比如极具性格的女主唱；80年代回潮的复古穿着；乐队独有的车库舞曲风格和他们标榜的“中国”式的平面形象。“与其说后海大鲨鱼创造了一种中国从未出现过的摇滚乐风格，到不如说他们掀起了一种内地年轻人所极力追捧的文化现象。更多媒体注意到了这种现象，于是，后海大鲨鱼乐队（尤其是女主唱个人）的形象频繁出现在各种时尚潮流杂志里。在后海大鲨鱼乐队成立的第3年里（2007年），他们成功使所有听后海大鲨鱼歌曲的年轻人们拥有了一种引领音乐潮流的骄傲。

2008年1月1日，乐队首张同名专辑《后海大鲨鱼》正式出版。整张专辑14首歌一气呵成，带有明显的概念性专辑的意味，具有跳舞音乐般明快的节奏与车库音乐的原始粗糙，同时散发着怀旧的气质。在专辑内页中这样写道：“宇宙光芒万丈！美妙又可怕；Dance Rock！带你们领略不一样的21世纪！！”
