——“有关部门将适时发布有关消息”：The competent authority will release relevant information in due course.

——“我们尊重XXX人民的选择”：We respect the choice of the XXX people.

——“（我们的做法）也是符合国际惯例的”： ...also in line with common international practices.

——“我们呼吁XXX立即改变立场，停止错误步骤”：We urge XXX immediately to change its course, and stop its erroneous steps

——“某些媒体的报道不符合事实”：the reports by some media don't accord to facts.

——“在这个问题上不可推卸的责任”：an unshirkable responsibility in this regard.

——“妥善处理有关问题”：handle relevant affairs prudently.

——“向XX提出严正交涉”：lodge a solemn representation to the XXX

——“强烈不满，坚决反对”：strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition.

——“严重伤害XX人民的感情”：...severely hurt the feelings of the XX people...

——“有关说法是完全没有根据和可笑的”：Relevant remarks are completely groundless and ridiculous.

——“请向有关部门询问”：I'll leave it to competent authorities./ I suggest you refer it to competent authorities.
