“生命诚可贵，爱情价更高。”请不要接后面两句，这首歌或许讲的正是这样一个故事。

也许哀伤的歌曲更能打动人，故事还是一个悲剧：男主人从前线归来，发现曾经深爱的女人已嫁为人妇，原来曾有男主人公阵亡的消息传回来，所以女主人公改嫁。男主人公痛不欲生，天天借酒消愁，如歌中所唱，想喝掉回忆，喝掉那些痛苦，终于有一天晚上，把酒瓶放在头边，扣动扳机。临终前，在枕边留下遗书：“I'll love her till I die.”；女主人在男主人公死后才得到消息，在深深的自责中同样年复一年喝下那些回忆，那些痛苦，最终选择同样的方式，把酒瓶放在头边，扣动扳机。天使唱起了同样的安魂曲，他们被埋在在同样低垂的柳树下。

伴随着生命的终结，一切都解脱了，一切都烟消云散了。所谓悲伤，大抵不过如此，安静的强烈的毫无保留的直抵心灵最深处....
