Job Description: 2009-2010 School Year
Mandarin Chinese Teacher
Job Description and Qualifications
We are seeking a full-time Mandarin teacher to begin in August,
2009. The successful candidate will teach three sections of
Mandarin per trimester, ranging from level I to level IV.
In addition to classroom teaching, Bay School faculty serve as
student advisors, student activities mentors and faculty committee
members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a fluent
speaker, have significant previous experience teaching Mandarin as
a second language and possess a degree in Mandarin
language/literature (if non-native speaker).
We are particularly interested in someone with an in-depth
understanding of Chinese cultures.
S/he will be passionate about the subject matter and have
significant experience teaching in a rigorous, college preparatory
environment. Applicants must currently have a visa, green card or
other work permit.
