Yinghua Academy (www.yinghuaacademy.org), a Chinese Immersion Public Charter School in St. Paul, Minnesota, is currently seeking candidates who share our mission and enthusiasm to fill the following positions for the 2009-2010 school year:

· Classroom Immersion Teachers for kindergarten, third grade and fouth grade

· Chinese Speaking Art Teacher

· Chinese Speaking Music Teacher

· Chinese Speaking Educational Assistant

All teachers and educational assistant must have near native language proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, have a B.A. degree and some teaching experience in the elementary level. Minnesota State Licensure is preferred for all teaching positions.

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Smith College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position of lecturer in Chinese language. This is a one-year position effective July 1, 2009, with a possibility of renewal.

Candidates must be able to teach all levels of the language and hold the Master’s degree in Chinese, Linguistics, Education, or a related field. Native or near-native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), competency in spoken and written English, and experience teaching Chinese to English-speaking students at the college level are required. Experience directing Chinese language courses, or developing language teaching materials is also highly desirable.
