今天偶然翻汉英旧坛，发现自己三年前翻译的红楼梦《好了歌》，带评论音轨的，贴出来自己一乐：

世人都晓神仙好，惟有功名忘不了！
古今将相在何方？荒冢一堆草没了。
　　　
It's great to be immortals, men all believe so,
Yet the glitter of fame is just hard to let go;
The high and mighty of all ages, where are they now?
Under the grass-covered graves, there they go.

（用“so” “go”韵不知如何——呀，我莫不是想去SOGO购物了吧？再换一种试试：）

世人都晓神仙好，只有金银忘不了！
终朝只恨聚无多，及到多时眼闭了。

The peace of immortals is for all to see,
yet slave to fortune man is bound to be,
Day in and day out, he desires more fortune,
till fortune swells, but for one who ceases to be.

（用"see" 和 “be”韵是不是更加别扭了？呵呵,可以往SB道路上遐想去了……再试一种，呵呵，搞笑版：）

世人都晓神仙好，只有姣妻忘不了！
君生日日说恩情，君死又随人去了！

The joy of immortals appeals to all eyes,
yet mortal to a mortal wife always complies,
When you are alive she vows love everyday,
When you drop dead she'd go with other guys.

（此种原型来自“Me no money me no care...”：）最后一种，已经是自由发挥摇滚版了，嘿嘿！）

世人都晓神仙好，只有儿孙忘不了！
痴心父母古来多，孝顺儿孙谁见了？

Gods are good, yeah, Gods are good, they always say,
But the kids, and the kids of kids, they keep you astray!
Since time old, parents have toiled like guardian angels,
but the kids, Alas! follow nothing but their own way!
