Abstract: Recently reports show that the blogosphere is doubling every 5 and a half months. The current size of blogosphere is over 60 times bigger than it was just 3 years ago. According to Technorati, the largest blog search engine, a new blog host is created every second, and over 81 million posts in just the first month 2005. So the question is naturally: What is blog and blogosphere? How do we interpret the blog phenomenon? Some of you may already write blogs and you want to know the big picture of blogosphere. Others haven't started yet and you want to know how blog is different from traditional web sites and BBS, etc. If you want to know more about blogosphere, you may ask: What is citizen media or grassroot journalist? Where does the longtail go? Who are the famous bloggers out there? How do you find blogs of your best interest? And a little technically: What is RSS? Why RSS will be a next big thing on Internet? Which blog service provider may fit your purpose?
