　　个人第一次接触《The walking dead》这部漫画是2004年。
　　在那个没有空调、臭气薰天的东南亚某国的破旧书店，出于对这一题材的偏爱，我买下了漫画单行本的前两集(当时单行本第二集才刚刚上市，一卷包括六卷，即前十二卷)。由于那会儿涉世不深，加上游戏《生化危机》对国内丧尸爱好者的影响太大，按照约定俗成的理解，好看的丧尸作品似乎就该像《生化危机》那样包括超级英雄般的主角、五花八门的变异生物、邪恶的科学实验云云，所以在看完这两本漫画之后，更多的感想是情节足够精彩，但总有那么点儿不对味，反“传统”，并没有很透彻地去理解它真正的内涵...
　　而“行尸走肉”的译名，却恰恰是在这种状态下从脑子里突然冒出来的。

　　2007年，当有了一定人生阅历的我重新拿起这本漫画，重新审视“The walking dead”这个标题时，感受已经完全不同。
