一

My fancies are fireflies,——

 specks of living light

        twinkling in the dark

我的想象是一群飞舞的萤火虫

涌动着赋有生机的火花

在黑夜里闪烁，跳跃

The voice of wayside pansies,

that do not attract the careless glance ,

  murmurs in these desultory lines.

紫罗兰的呢喃

没能吸引路人不经意的眼光

独自  在这零散的诗行间低语

In the drowsy dark caves of the mind

  dreams build their nest with fragments

     dropped from day's caravan

在这困顿，阴郁的心灵深处

梦  拎起烈日下行者遗落的碎片

铸造天堂

Spring scatters the petals of flowers

    that are not for the fruits of the furture,

       but for the moment's whim

在春天撒下花瓣

不是为了秋的果实

而是为了这顷刻的异想

Joy freed from the bond of earth's

slumber

rushes into numberless leaves,

and dances in the air for a day.

 

欢乐从大地的甜梦中得到释放

匆入密密的叶丛

凌空飞舞， 为这一日的欢乐

My words that are slight

may lightly dance upon time's waves

when my works heavy with import

have gone down.

当我的诗行

在深重的思考中下沉时

我的细语

却在时光的曲波中曼舞

Mind's underground moths

grow filmy wings

and take a farewell flight

in the sunset sky

心底的蛾虫

长出轻盈的翅膀

在布满晚霞的天空

作告别的飞翔

The butterfly counts not months but

moments

and has time enough

蝴蝶

刹那间的生命

却拥有了永远的美丽
