库布齐沙漠是中国第七大沙漠，在河套平原黄河“几”字弯里的黄河南岸（有的人称为河套沙漠），往北是阴山西段狼山地区。“库布其”为蒙古语，意思是弓上的弦，因为它处在黄河下像一根挂在黄河上的弦。

    早上从达拉特旗（属鄂尔多斯市）城区出发，不远就望见沙漠，这儿就是著名的“银肯”响沙湾所在区域。本以为这次是去著名的响沙湾景区（国家5A级）的，想不到导游带我们来的是与响沙湾景区比邻的库布齐沙漠旅游景区，一看便似私营的景区。更令人难以接受的是，如果你不再交相关费用（最低是景区乘车费90元），导游竟然不让进景区——同团的十几名游客就被这样对待......从地图上查知，这个景区是在响沙湾景区北面。

    好在这里(库布其沙漠旅游景区)与响沙湾很近, 均位于库布其沙漠银肯沙畔，大概也属于“响沙”（“银肯”是蒙语，汉译“永久”之意，当地群众叫它“响沙湾”）。自己的感觉就是这儿的沙子特细，是我所见到的最为细小的沙末。就是那种人一走、会带满一腿，风一吹、会沾满全身的体验。而正是这样细软的沙滩，更激发了游客与沙子亲密接触的热情，大家在茫茫沙海中拍照、撒欢，感受这小小一粒沙的魅力，体验“响沙”神奇。

    这是景区的游乐场，90元的交通车就是把游客带到这里，里面有沙漠之舟、滑沙、沙漠冲浪车、沙漠探险车、骑骆驼等，都是收费项目……
