随着湖南卫视真人秀节目《爸爸去哪儿》的播出，鸡鸣岛这个在此前还是少有人知晓的海岛，一举成名，人气爆涨。这几年，鸡鸣岛成了威海的一处闻名遐迩的旅游地。

    鸡鸣岛整体呈一个山丘状，一条修缮有致的环岛小路将全岛主要风景串联起来，游客走在环岛路上，一边是一望无际的大海，海浪不停地敲打着礁石；另一边是茂密的树林，走不多远会有观光台、岗楼、天文台......站在观景台上，海天一色的壮丽景色尽收眼底：

    鸡鸣岛的海滨没有平坦的沙滩，基本上全部是悬崖峭壁，大大小小的礁石，形态各异，遗憾地是自己来到这里没见到导游人员，不然。这些礁石和海水也可能会有许多的故事。
