https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/2023-Tesla-Group-shots-3-1024x662.jpg
https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Tesla-Autopilot-a-1024x576.jpg

Tesla Preparing To Launch “Full Self-Driving” Beta In China
A new report suggests that Tesla will launch the FSD Beta in China with the release of version 12 of the software
18 hours ago
Tesla is gearing up to introduce its Full Self-Driving beta in China and while a launch date hasn’t been announced, it could happen before the end of the year or in early 2024.
Word of Tesla readying the system for its Chinese introduction came after the company published an updated owner’s manual for its local owners that included descriptions of the FSD Beta driver assistance system. While the owner’s manual was quickly edited to remove all mention of FSD, local media outlets were quickly alerted to the leak.
The car manufacturer is believed to be moving ahead with the launch thanks in part to new laws related to autonomous vehicles being introduced in the country. CNEV Post reports that several local Chinese governments will allow mass-produced vehicles with more advanced Level 3 and Level 4 self-driving systems to be tested on local roads, albeit in geofenced areas。
Local Tesla enthusiast and investor ray4tesla on X.com speculates that Tesla may launch the Full Self-Driving Beta in China when it has finalized version 12 of the system. Elon Musk recently suggested that the thoroughly updated version of FSD would launch around the start of December, but it remains to be seen if this will actually be the case.

This isn’t the only claim that Musk has made about version 12. In June, Elon Musk said that V12 would no longer be considered a beta. If this is true then it shows that the electric car manufacturer has supreme confidence in the updated system, although it could open it up to more litigation. Only time will tell just how improved the new version of FSD is.
