Cybertruck Interior Revealed Before Launch, And Don’t Worry, Tesla Won’t Ban You For Sharing The Video
This short clip also appears to provide some insights into details surrounding the pickup that Tesla hasn't confirmed yet
13 hours ago
The Tesla Cybertruck delivery event is coming soon and now we’re getting a new look at a slightly updated interior. A short video popped up showing the flip-up rear seats, the tonneau cover functionality, and even some interesting data on the infotainment screen.
Here’s a quick look at the most up-to-date Cybertruck interior we’ve seen just weeks before buyers get their hands on it. The exterior of the Cybertruck might be opinion-splitting and stark but the interior appears to be fairly conventional. It’s built to fit five people and adopts some features we’ve seen already in production at Tesla. That includes a large widescreen infotainment system, no conventional gauge cluster, and wireless device chargers.
This new video shows a few features Tesla hasn’t put into production though including a squarish steering wheel. A similar setup was on display earlier this year but now it has a small stylized Cybertruck emblem in the airbag cover. The center console no longer has a slide-out cover and instead houses those wireless chargers along with two angular cupholders.
The rear seats look pretty straightforward as well. The bottom cushion flips up to make a more configurable storage space which we’ve seen before. All four door cards appear to have multiple storage cubbies and a large rear-seat touchscreen entertainment system sits ahead of the passengers in the back. The short video posted by LQVASSER on Instagram concludes with a quick shot of the power tonneau buttons and functionality.
We also noticed that the quick pan of the infotainment system shows off that with a 71% state of charge, the Cybertruck in this case would require an estimated 55 minutes of additional charging to be at 100%. If true, commenters in one thread on X believe that the battery must be in the 245 kW range since the charge rate is 71 kWh on the screen.
That would be about two and a half times larger than the 100 kW
battery pack in the Tesla Model S Plaid. In other words, this big
pickup should come with big range too.
An extra a dose of trolling
Interestingly, an X user named Jeremy Judkins, who shared the same clip on Musk’s social media playground, claimed that, “Tesla is revoking Tesla is revoking invites to the Cybertruck event to all people that posted this video. It’s in bad taste to leak stuff like this right before a big event,” a quote that was picked up by a few outlets.
However, in a subsequent post, Judkins later admitted that he
was indeed trolling, channeling his inner Elon Musk with the
quip,
“No one told Fred I just be making shit
up?
” , which was aimed at Electrek. In all honesty, with Tesla’s conspicuous lack of a PR department in recent years, it seems like practically anyone can spread misinformation or sling mud at the company and slip away undetected. Good job, Elon!
