I went to a friend's home this afternoon. It's my first time to take the subway and bus in Toronto. They treated me to a delicious dinner. 

August 8, Friday, rainy and cloudy.

We get up early to watch the Olympics opening ceremony. The ceremony is not bad, but the CBC's program is bad. They insert so many advertisements in the ceremony that we can't see all the details of the ceremony.

This afternoon, I get some presents for my families and friends in shops near my friend's home, and visit a public library. I think the public libraries of Toronto maybe are best in the world, they really serve for the people.

August 9, Saturday, sunny and rainy.

visit the Science Center of Toronto with another friend. My son would love this center, I love it too.

We have dinner in a Afghan restaurant near the Science Center ( East York? two station before arriving the center by bus25) . I like the Afghan restaurant. I hope I can be there again.

Visit my friend's home. They migrated from Beijing to Toronto about six years ago. We talk about migrant's life.
