today we listened to a presentation by doctor
Eva Sternfeld. the topic was about the water situation in Beijing
municipality.Eva showed us a figure that indicate the groundwater
table of Beijing declining in past decades. Eva told us that
in some German cities the water consumption kept droping down
because the price of water was increasing.We saw a figure that
showed the tariff of water and the decrease of water
consumption in recent years in Germany.In Eva's oppinion,
water supply and consumption are not only a kind of
environmental problem, but also a kind of
economic issue. To increasing the tariff of water is a
effective way to protect the water resource. I asked a question to
Eva. my question was how climate change would change the
precipitation of Beijing area. i think that the rainfall in
beijing in last two years is going up.
After the EET lesson, we went to have
dinner together. Sunny ordered a dish of pumpkin.it
tasted good for me. it's delicious. Sisi took her own
stainless steel chopsticks.she didn't use the disposable
chopstick.that's a good habit which is benefit to
environment.
