to write it as i wanted, however, would violate all the rules of
formal composition i'd learned in school, and mr fleagle would
surely give it a failing grade.
to do it as i wanted, (however,) would ...
造句:
for example
to draw it as i wanted, however, would make mum unhappy, for she
would not wish to see me drawing cartoon.
the idea of becoming a writer had come to me off and on since my
childhood in belleville, but it wasn't until my third year in high
school that the possibility took hold.
the idea of ... had come to ... (off and on) since ..., but it
wasn't until ... that the possibility took hold.
it wasn't until... that ...
it wasn't until my third year in high school that the possibility
took hold. 的正常语序是: the possibility did not take place until
my third year in high school.
在用it was...that...
until...
for example
。
the idea of going abroad for further studyhad come to mary since
she began her career in a company, but it wasn't until she was
promoted to be a manager that the possibility took hold.
this title produced an extraordinary sequence of
mental images. vivid memories came flooding back of a night in
belleville when all of us were seated around the supper table ---
uncle allen, my mother, uncle charliem doris, uncle hal --- and
aunt pat served spaghetti for supper.
...produced an extraordinary sequence of mental images. vivid
memories came flooding back of...when...
for example
this song produced an extraordinary sequence of mental images.
vivid memories came flooding back of that graduation day when we
thronged on the platform, laughing and crying, and said goodbye and
left one by one.
