刘荣坤（荣坤）曾用名一冠，1970年生于湖南，贵州长大。

刘荣坤的画具有一种自动的性质，一种奇特的，甚于个人生存体验的反思考的特质。从本能上说，他就是一个天生的表现主义者，不假思索地涂抹，让情绪成为真实的主题，也让情绪成为观察对象时的依据，所以，他笔下的女性非常感性，这种感情，在一个过度讲究利益的艺术情境中，显得愈发重要与珍贵。
