(1)similar adj.相像的，相仿的，类似的.指有明显的共同性质但不完全一致或同一。可以作定语和表语。

A similar mistake occurs at the end of the paragraph. 这一段的末尾有一个性质类似的错误。

My opinions are similar to his.我的看法与他的很相似

  We have very similar interests. 我们兴趣相仿。

The two houses are similar in size.两做房子大小差不多。

The two sisters kook very similar. 姊妹俩长得很像.

(2) same 相同的，常用于the same as … 结构

  I own the same car as my father.

  My car is the same as my father’s.

(3) like作形容词或介词，指事物在外貌性质或特征上非常相似以致区别不开，但并非同一。在句中可以作定语也可以作表语。表示“同…一样”时常用作介词。

Like thinking produces like ideas.相似的思维产生相似的思想。

Like father, like son.有其父必有其子。

The two buildings are very like.这两座楼很相似。

(4)alike表语作形容词，想象的，同样的。作表语或后置定语,意思同like。

He and his brother are very much alike/like.他们兄弟俩太相似了。

还可作副词adv. 同样地；相似地
