教材分析
本课是第二单元的故事课,是对前面几课重点知识的总结、再现及升华,让学生在学习小故事的轻松环境下复习旧知识和学习新知。本课的主题是交通方式及如何安全出行,要使学生能自己用英语总结出来安全出行的交通方式并且自觉遵守交通规则。
教学目标
◆语言知识与技能
1.能在教师的帮助下听懂并理解故事内容。
2.能声情并茂地朗读故事并在教师的帮助下复述表演故事。
3.能总结出安全出行的方式,自觉遵守交通规则。

1.培养学生对读故事的兴趣。
2.通过了解故事情节,让学生们引起对上学路上安全的重视。

1.通过创设情境和设疑来培养学生的寻读技能。
2.借助板书培养学生的复述技能。
3.通过示范朗读来培养学生有感情朗读与表演的技能。

StepⅠ: Pre-reading

see?
T: There are many children. Are they
happy?
T: I’m happy. You are happy. The children are happy. Everyone is happy. Everyone is excited.

T:Why are they happy?Where will they go?
Ss: They will go to school.
T: Yes. They will go to school. It is the first day of school. So they are excited.
(教师讲解短语the first day of school)
T: How do they go to school?
Ss: They go to school on foot. /They walk to school.
T: How do you go to school?

T: Today I drive the bus. I am the bus driver. Would you like to go to school with me?
Ss: Yes.
T: OK. Get on the bus. I am the driver Marshall. Welcome to Marshall’s bus. Let’s go.
【设计意图:通过询问学生实际的上学方式,复习频度副词,同时引出本课课题。而在此,设置教师本身就是校车司机的情形,为学生创设真实的学习环境,使学生更能真切的体会故事内容。】
Step II: While-reading
1. T: Look, here is the bus stop.
Show the picture 1 and ask:
Who are at the bus stop? Do you know them?
Listen to the video and answer:
(1)What are their names?
(2)What are they doing?
【设计意图:找一找故事中的人名,因为在读课文的时候,这几个人名不好读而且他们是故事中的主人公,为后面的表演做准备。同时用图片处理下waiting for和safe,通过图片方式,学生更容易理解。】
2. They are waiting for the school bus, but they know how to be safe.
Listen then please read and underline: How to be safe on the way.
Al: I always watch for the cars and bikes.
Oba: You always play far from the street. I often look to the left and to the right before I cross the street.

Step III: Post-reading
1. Imitate and practice
逐句跟读录音并模仿人物的语气,然后展示。
【设计思路:模仿朗读训练能让学生充分体会故事人物的情感,同时也为后面的表演做铺垫。】
(1) Act out the story in groups of five.
(2) Show time.
【设计思路:表演环节各小组表演两个环节中的任何一个故事情节,先组内排练,再上台展示,提升对语言知识的掌握程度和运用能力。】
