教材分析
本课是冀教版英语六年级上册第三单元中的第三课时,单元整体围绕“季节”这一话题展开。在前两课时,学生基本了解了加拿大冬季的天气特征,本课在前两课时的基础上,让学生更多的了解冬季的乐趣(堆雪人)。

(教师提问各个季节,分别询问不同季节学生喜欢做的事,学生自觉做出回应,复习旧知的同时,引出今天的课题,冬季的乐趣)
Step Ⅱ New concepts
1. T: In winter,there is ice and snow. Today we will make a man with snow.
(课件出示雪人图片,学生一目了然snowman,同时教师板书,学生拼读snow man→snowman)
The students read the word several times and then the teacher shows another picture of a snowman in order to show the plural forms of the word snowman →snowmen.
Ss: Yes.
T: Today let’s make a snowman together! (Show a big snowball by PPT)
(板书make a big snowball for his body , 教师板书字母o 的音标,学生进行拼读)
T: Then, we make a small snowball for his head. (Show a small snowball by PPT)
(板书make a small snowball for his head, 跟读,齐读,逐个读)
T: Now we put the small snowball on the big snowball. Can you?
(PPT演示并板书put…on,要求学生边做动作边表达“I put the small snowball on the big snowball”)
T: Now, we have the snowman’s body and head. What do we need?
(学生展开想象发表自己想法,在制作雪人过程中可能用到的东西,发散学生思维,调动学生积极思考,复习巩固所学词汇)
T: I have something. I have a carrot, a banana, two stones, two potatoes, two sticks. Let’s make a face with them.
(PPT 分别展示制作鼻子,嘴巴,眼睛,耳朵及胳膊的过程,板书同时学生跟读,以便学生深刻记忆制作过程,提高课堂效率)
3. Now we made a snowman together. Can you make another snowman by yourselves?
The students show their answers one by one.
