1）Rhythm节奏

• Rhythm是根据单词的音节轻重（单音节都重读）来划分的：（重读：/，轻读：—）

• Iambic： /— delight

• Trochaic: —/ disturb

• Anapaestic: ——/ unaware

• Dactylic： /—— multiple

• Amphibraic： —/— remember

• Spondaic：// toothache

• （建议从音标入手）

• Conjunctions连词的节奏效应 and，but，so，yet

• Asyndeton： 省略连词，比较急凑的节奏

• Polysyndeton：堆砌连词，缓慢而拖延时间

• Pause停顿

• End-stopped：行尾有标点符号

• Run-on/Enjambement：行尾没有标点符号

• Caesura：每行里的停顿

2）Metre

• Foot（音步）是metre的单位，一个重读音节和一个轻读音节组成一个foot

• Monometer：1 foot

• Dimeter：2 foot

• Trimeter：3 foot

• Tetrameter：4 foot

• Pentameter：5 foot

• Hexameter：6 foot

• Heptameter：7 foot

• Octameter：8 foot

• （注意英式写法：metre本身是-re结尾，但其他的复合词以-er结尾）

3）Rhyme

• Rhyming（尾韵）

• 主要有三种：

1. Couplet：aa 比较harmonious（和谐），decisive（心意已决）

2. Chiastic：abba 展现mutuality（相互对应，情诗里面比较常用）

3. Alternate：abab 比较conflicting（斗争，可以想象一下和大人你一句我一句的情景）

• 又可分为

1. Masculine：阳韵，每行最后一个单词单音节重读

2. Feminine：阴韵，每行最后一个单词多音节且最后一个音节轻读

• Alliteration（辅音头韵）

• 分为：

1. Voiced：发声

2. Unvoiced：不发声的

• 主要有：

1. Fricative: f,v

2. Plosive: p,b,t,d

3. Guttural：k,g

4. Nasal: m,n

5. Sibilant: s,z,c

6. Liquid: l

7. Abrasive/rolling: r

8. Aspirated: h

• 比如Austin的两部著作Pride and Prejudice，Sense and Sensibility就采用了alliteration。前者是plosive，可能作者想表现傲慢与偏见会带来些争执和摩擦。后者是sibilant，或许奥斯丁想体现理智和情感的一线之差。

• Assonance（半谐音）

• 一行或相近的几行里的几个单词采用一样的元音

• 电影Top Gun里，Tom Cruise说过，

  "I feel the need, the need of speed."

  这里韵的就是长音[i：]，让人感受到时间的重要性。
