Business English is merely English as
it is used in the workplace. It is not a separate language. To
study business English is to study English, but with an emphasis on
business vocabulary, how to write business letters, etc.
People study business English for very practical reasons: to
improve their work performance, enhance their prospects for
promotion, or in order to find a job. However, if your general
level of spoken English is low, I suggest that you do not start by
studying business English. I have seen a lot of people try this,
but it tends not to work. Language is a tool and its purpose is
communication. If you know lots of business words but cannot
express yourself clearly, those words are of little use to you. In
fact, they may make you look odd or clumsy. Instead, work on your
general English skills until you can communicate comfortably. Then
