For the summer holiday, most British people try to get away
（离开）somewhere. At Christmas, which is a home and family festival,
those who live away try to get back home. Christmas Day, December
25th, celebrates the birth of Christ, and is thus (如此，这样) the
greatest of Christian festivals, though for many people the
religious (宗教) aspect (面貌) of Christmas is lost amidst all the
commercialization （商业化）and human excitement of it.
