故事简介：Veer是印度空军中队长，英俊正直，负责营救平民工作。Zaara是一个巴基斯坦姑娘，美丽善良，为了要亲自把从小带大她的奶娘的骨灰送回她的故乡而来到了印度，Veer救了Zaara , 并为她的勇敢和善良所感动，护送她完成奶娘最后的心愿，还邀请她来到自己的家乡认识了自己的亲人，还度过了快乐的Lodi节日，Veer意识到自己爱上了Zaara，正当他在分别的时刻准备表白时，却看到了从巴基斯坦赶来接Zaara回家的未婚夫Razaa。Veer仿佛当头一棒，但他还是对Zaara倾诉了自己的爱意，但同时也引来了Razaa对他的故意。
Zaara回到家无法忘记Veer，但她和Razaa的婚姻并不是一桩普通的婚事，因为他们两个家族都是巴基斯坦的政界要人，他们的婚姻是一场政治联姻，意义重大，Zaara在父亲的叮嘱下完成了订婚仪式，但Veer已经深深地印在了她的脑海中，她因为无法彻底忘掉Veer而痛苦万分。知心的女伴Shaabo决定帮助这对有情人，她的一通电话将Veer召至巴基斯坦，Veer在婚礼前夕的祈祷仪式上出现在众人面前，Zaara不顾一切地奔向Veer，致使父亲受到沉重的打击，家族的地位和前途也即将毁于一旦。为了家族的利益与名誉，为了父亲的生命。
Veer与Zaara最终决定分手，Zaara的婚礼仍将举行，Veer在Zaara母亲的祝福下决定离开巴基斯坦返回印度，可是，觉得自己遭受到侮辱的Razaa却不打算这么轻易地放过Veer，他以Zaara的名节和将来的幸福生活为要胁，逼迫Veer承认自己是间谍，于是Veer以另一个人的身份被关押在巴基斯坦监狱长达２２年。
２２年后，年轻的巴基斯坦女律师Saamiya为了正义及巴基斯坦妇女的地位勇敢地站出来替Veer辩护，要求巴基斯坦政府恢复Veer的名誉，还他清白并送他回印度，２２年后，饱经沧桑的Veer 和Zaara的命运会有怎样的改变
