A．表时间的介词（Prepositions of Time）at, in, on

（a）at

例I arrive at school at half past seven every morning/a quarter to nine/around/about ten o'clock

例B：They set out at dawn this morning.

例C：The Browns will go back to the United States at Christmas.

例D：Most schools in our country begin at the beginning of September.

例E：Children here go to school at six/the age of six.

 “at…”表示时刻通常是指“事+时”（如例A），若是只是报时就不用“at…”，请比较：

What time is it?---It is eleven o'clock.

At what time does your school begin?---Our school begins at 8:10.

 “At what time…？”在现代英语也常省去介词而只说“What time…？”。

What time does the game start?---At 2:00 p．m．
