语言教学不能让孩子们精神有压力、心理有障碍，要以启发兴趣为主：好玩儿才学、学着好玩儿、寓教于乐。我们对孩子们最大的帮助就是为他们创造有趣儿的、充满智慧的、遵循语言教学科学的优秀读物，使孩子们能够轻松、愉快地学习。

 

作为一位有着十年英文教学经验的儿童文学作家来说，我很庆幸在这一方面有着得天独厚的优势，我也希望充分发挥、利用自己的优势，造福更多的孩子。于是，我为孩子们写了一系列含有语言教学功能的绘本故事，最有代表性的是《憨熊》系列。这个故事的特点是词汇少、句型、句式简单、多重复。而且，故事多对白、可表演，是理想的亲子互动小话剧。至于故事内容，简单但不缺乏有趣儿、有智慧，以及有品位的幽默。

 

《憨熊 ——“你吃了吗？”》

Han Bear will visit China. His grandmother teaches him Chinese greeting words.

憨熊要去看看中国。他姥姥教他中文的寒暄话。

 

Grandmother says, “When you greet people, say ‘Ni chi le ma?’, which means ‘have you eaten yet?’”

姥姥说：“当你和人家打招呼时，说‘Ni chi le ma?’，意思是‘你吃了吗？’。“

Han Bear is puzzled. “Why would I want to know that?” 

憨熊纳闷儿：“为什么我想知道人家吃没吃呢？”

 

“You don’t,” says Grandmother. “But this is how people in China greet each other. It’s like the way we say ‘how do you do？’ You just practice it.”  

“你不想知道。”姥姥说：“但是在中国，人们就是这么互相打招呼的，就好象我们说‘你好吗？’你就这么练吧。”

Han Bear begins practicing.

憨熊开始练习：

 

“ Ni chi le ma?”

“你吃了吗?” 

“ Ni chi le ma?”

“你吃了吗?” 

“ Ni chi le ma?”

“你吃了吗?” 

 

Now, Bear can pronounce it perfectly in Mandarin.

这会儿，憨熊可以用标准的普通话发音了。

Han Bear greets the pilot, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和机长打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The pilot smiles politely and nods.

机长礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the second officer, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和副驾打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The second officer smiles politely and nods.

副驾礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the woman flight attendant, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和空中小姐打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The woman flight attendant smiles politely and nods.

空中小姐礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the man flight attendant, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和空中先生打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The man flight attendant smiles politely and nods.

空中先生礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the passenger on his right, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和右边的乘客打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The passenger on his right smiles politely and nods.

右边的乘客礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the passenger on his left, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和左边的乘客打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The passenger on his left smiles politely and nods.

左边的乘客礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the customs officer, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和移民官打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The customs officer smiles politely and nods.

移民官礼貌地微笑着，点了点头。

Han Bear greets the restaurant manager, “Ni chi le ma?” 

憨熊和餐馆经理打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The restaurant manager gives Han Bear a menu.

餐馆经理递给憨熊一本餐牌。

Han Bear greets the waiter and waitress, “Ni chi le ma?”  

憨熊和男、女服务员打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The waiter and waitress bring Han Bear a lot of food.

男、女服务员给憨熊端上来一大堆的饭菜。

On his way to the bathroom, Han Bear greets everybody, “Ni chi le ma?”  

在去厕所的路上，憨熊和每个人打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

Everybody looks at Han Bear and wonders what he is up to.

每个人看着憨熊，琢磨他要干什么。

A little boy and his grandfather come out of the bathroom. Han Bear greets them, “Ni chi le ma?” 

一位小男孩儿和他爷爷从厕所出来，憨熊和他们打招呼：“你吃了吗？”

 

The little boy is puzzled. He manages to ask Han Bear in English, “What do you mean?”

小男孩儿懵了，他尽力用英文问憨熊：“你是什么意思啊？”

Han Bear is puzzled, too. “What I meant to say, in English, is ‘have you eaten yet?’Did I say my greeting in Chinese right? ”

憨熊也懵了：“我的意思，英语直译，就是‘你吃了吗？’我的中文寒暄话，说得对吗？”

 

The boy’s grandfather chuckles. “In the old days, food was scarce. Eating was so important that it became people’s daily greeting words. Nowadays we say ‘ni hao’ in stead of ‘have you eaten yet.’”

小男孩儿的爷爷笑了：“在过去，吃的东西稀缺，‘吃’很重要，成了人们每天的问候语。现在我们用‘你好’代替了‘你吃了吗？’”

Han Bear is delighted. “Now, I’ve learned a new greeting sentence in Chinese.”  

He holds out his hand and says. “Ni hao?”

憨熊高兴极了：“现在，我学会了一句新的中文寒暄话。”

他伸出手来，说：“你好？”

 

The boy is delighted, too. “Now, I’ve learned a new greeting sentence in English.”  

He shakes Han Bear’s hand and replies. “Have you eaten yet?”

小男孩儿也高兴极了：“现在，我学会了一句新的英文寒暄话。” 

他握着憨熊的手，回答：“你吃了吗？”
